About this event
Discuss the options seniors have to protect themselves during their remaining years and how to provide for loved ones when they pass. Answer questions like Will I have enough money and assets to provide for myself? How do I protect my assets for my loved ones if either I or my spouse is in a long-term care facility that may cost $180,000 to $200,000 per year? What documents do I need while I am competent that may provide me with sufficient flexibility if my situation changes? How do I ensure my religious wishes are carried out if my children do not support them? Do I need a trust or a will, and what's the difference? What is probate, what are the costs, how long will it take, and what can I do to ensure my loved ones avoid it? Bob Boudreau has practiced law for 48 years and specializes in estate planning for the elderly. Formerly an adjunct professor at UNE and UMass and senior VP of New England Bank, he currently lectures at venues throughout Southern Maine.
