Description

Prerequisite: Basic Ceramics or Instructor Approval

Instruction based. Designed for students that have attended the basic ceramics class or have had introductory level classes and acquired a variety of skills and knowledge. There will be opportunities to work in a guided studio setting, on the potters wheel, and explore complex forms of hand building. Students will learn a mastery of skills and apply it to to working more independently to pursue projects tailored to their own interests. Materials are provided, but some advanced students prefer and are encouraged to bring their own set of tools. All work fired in our kilns is part of our clay program and all clay and glazes are provided. Construction classes are at the beginning and glaze application is at the end. Some projects will not be fired until after the last class.
