We are heading to Oak Park/ River Forest for a great trip! At Triton’s College Planetarium, the Cernan Center we will Witness the explosive end of massive stars and the dramatic formation of others. We’ll learn under a dome ceiling how stars create and release the energy that powers the universe. After this presentation, there will be time for questions and browsing the gift shop. Next, we will head over to Café 64 for a culinary school luncheon. After lunch we will head to The Trailside Museum of Natural History, set within a historic 1876 mansion. Here we will discover displays of live native animals, wildflower gardens, information about local wildlife and their habitats, and more. Finally, we will stop downtown Oak Park at Sugar Fixe for a dessert!
