Make your own handmade journals! In this class you will create three unique personal journals from scratch: a limp, leather non-adhesive traveling journal; a Coptic stitched sketching journal; and a junk journal for writers and artists. Learn the basics of bookbinding and develop your creative skills, resulting in three beautiful, personalized journals that can be kept for private use or given as gifts. Understand how a book is constructed, and skillfully select appropriate tools and materials for bookbinding repairs. This class is generously discounted by the Anonymous Fund of the Marin Community Foundation.
