Join The Ostara Project—a collective of JUNO-winning and JUNO-nominated artists from across Canada, featuring Jodi Proznick, Allison Au, Rachel Therrien, Amanda Tosoff, Valerie Lacombe, and Kim Zombik—for a full day of jazz exploration in a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. This immersive experience will delve into rhythm, improvisation, composition, and the stories of Canadian women who have contributed brilliance and innovation to the jazz tradition. We are committed to creating an inclusive space that celebrates and uplifts female and non-binary identifying music lovers. The day includes workshops, rehearsals, jam sessions, mentoring, and concludes with a Celebration of Learning at 3:30pm.This event is open to students, teachers, and beginner/intermediate-level musicians of all ages. If you have 2+ years of experience or more on voice or an instrument—or are simply curious about how jazz works—this day is designed for you.
