Course Description All masterpiece paintings and drawings share one thing in common: great composition. In this one day intensive, we will go over all of the aspects of composition, starting with an in-depth presentation on everything I know about what makes paintings look great. After a short break, we will spend the second half of the workshop going through your process to give you customized advice to improve the appearance of your work. This part is optional - so if you’d rather just partake in the lecture/slideshow and not show your own projects, that is fine. If you like, you can bring in original artwork to view, or photos of any kind. This could be anything that appears in two dimensions. This workshop is suitable for any medium, including painters, illustrators, collage artists and even photographers and digital artists. Supply List Your medium of choice. Keep it simple. Just paper and pencils can work. Any working surfaces that you bring in such as paper or canvas scraps should be portable. If you work on a computer, bring in any laptop or tablet.
