Description: This will be the first of Steve Chmilar’s courses where you bring your own artwork and reference material. Anything that you are working on in any medium is acceptable - as long as it can fit through the door. Steve will start each session with a unique lesson and then spend the majority of his time making rounds between each student to provide individual guidance on your project. If you do not currently have a project or would like some inspiration, that can be provided along with behind the scenes glimpses of Steve’s process and additional instruction on composition and other important fundamentals. All levels welcome. Additional note: Some of the elements from this 3-session course are borrowed from the 6-session workshop that Steve will be instructing in Florence, Italy from March 30 to April 4th. Supply List: Any artwork you are currently working on or a blank surface for those looking for inspiration. This can include, oil painting, drawing, acrylic painting, watercolour, pastel, coloured pencil, digital art or photography. Please note, anyone working with oil will be encouraged to note use solvents in class. Odorless mineral spirits in small quantities are acceptable.
