This activity is closed to further registration.This class centers on building balance, flexibility, and strength, while learning and applying the principles of Tai Chi. The first half of each class will concentrate on the open hand Yang 24 Form, the "International Form," allowing the participant to learn or improve this basic Form. The second half of the class will introduce the use of a straight sword with the Yang Style 24 Sword Form. Use of, and learning the skills of weapon handling , balance, strength, intention, and concentration, will inform and improve the participants' open hand forms and carry through to all aspects of a Tai Chi for health practice.Participants will be using a collapsible, folding sword for safety purposes. Swords will be available for use and/or purchase from the instructor, or they can be purchased from Amazon.Please wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes (no flip flops).
