After a successful trip to the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. in 2025, we have planned a follow-up trip. We will have author, historian and speaker Francis Gary Powers, Jr. with us all day. His father, Francis Gary Powers, served as a U.S. Air Force officer and CIA employee. He is best known for his involvement in the 1960 U-2 incident, when he was shot down while flying a secret CIA spying mission over the Soviet Union. Gary will take us on a fascinating "Spy Tour" of D.C. where you will learn about and see espionage and drop sites throughout Fairfax, Arlington and Washington, D.C. Enjoy a plated lunch in Georgetown, followed by an afternoon visit to the Cold War Museum, located near Manassas, VA. In 1966, Gary co-founded this museum dedicated to the preservation of Cold War history, honoring Cold War Veterans and educating visitors about this time period.
