Come join our new class and learn the basics of Mahjong!
Mahjong is played by 4 players, who receive, discard and exchange tiles, with the aim of being the first to collect 14 tiles of a certain combination from NMJL card. Mahjong is a fast-paced, exciting game requiring skill and a pinch of luck! It has many similarities to the card game Rummy and Rummikub.
For class you will need to order 2026 National Mah Jong League Card from https://www.nationalmahjonggleague.org/store and your textbook Visual Companion Guide: For American Mah Jongg by Dara Collins and Donna Miller Kassman, available on amazon.com. One textbook per household should be fine. National Mah Jongg League rules will be taught.
Note: A $2 supply fee is due to the instructor at the beginning of the first class. Sets will be provided by the instructor, but if you have your own, you are welcome to bring it!
