Join us for the eighth annual Run for Joy 5K Run/Walk benefiting the Ronald McDonald House in precious memory of our daughter, Rebecca Joy. We praise God for her life and want to share the joy that God promises even through sorrow. We hope that you and your family will come help us raise money for a charity that has meant so much to many families raising kids with medical issues- The Ronald McDonald House.
Event details and schedule
The Run for Joy is a road race that loops around the neighborhood near Bayshore Drive and Partin. The course starts and ends at Church on Bayshore- parking is available at the church. A live band provided by Austin Music Co and an Easter Egg hunt will directly follow the race. Prizes will be given for various race categories.
Day of race registration and packet pick-up begins at 7:00 AM through 8:15 AM. The race will begin at 8:30 AM. Post race activities will begin around 9:30 AM. All events should be complete by 10:30 AM.
We encourage you to help us support all of the local businesses that sponsor the Run for Joy- you can find a complete list on our facebook event page. Our Main Event sponsors are: Destin Real Estate, Nautilus Title and Escrow, Austin Music Co, Barry Vet Hospital, and Friendhip Veterinary Hospital.
We want to make sure everybody is able to get a race t-shirt, so please help us out. Register by 11:45pm on April 6th for a guaranteed T-Shirt- all others will be first come first serve on race-day.
