10 Thursdays, March 6 - May 8, 10 am - 11:20 am Dancing Nature: creating a collaborative community dance Taught by Chloe Shader $146 Member / $160 Non-member Join me as we make a dance! Together, we will take inspiration from nature to bring movement into our bodies. This is a great way to be creative while also getting some joyful exercise! Everyone is welcome to participate-- this is a great opportunity to try out dancing and creative movement for the first time. Every mobility level is welcome--there will be many options including for those who would like to remain seated. We will think about the movement of rivers, of trees swaying in the breeze, clouds floating in the sky, and other aspects of our local Delaware ecosystem! Class will start with some warming up, and movement games as we get more comfortable dancing and moving through the space. Please contact chloe.shader5@gmail.com for any questions to share song suggestions! - Chloe is passionate about dancing, climate change, and building community. Currently getting her Master's at the University of Delaware, Chloe loves using dance as a way to have fun and connect with nature. Previously, she choreographed a dance called "This is a Dance about Coral Reef, Community, Clouds, Snails, Seahorses, Friendships, and other Celebrations," which was chosen to represent her college at a regional dance conference. Chloe is looking forward to bringing her love of movement and the environment to the Newark Arts Alliance.
