Taught by Wendi Jacobs, Adult This open workshop will be focused on designing your piece using just two forms of glass – hammer glass and frit. Hammer glass (sometimes called puddle glass) has been previously fired, hit with a hammer, and then melted again to create various levels of texture and overlapping color in unique shapes. Frit (glass sprinkles) are a versatile accent to any project, and a great companion to the textures of hammer glass. Limited instruction will be offered, but guidance and suggestions will be plentiful, with the goal of creating your ideal finished piece. Attendees can choose from formed dish or flat tile projects, with all materials provided. Contact Wendi ahead of time with specific requests. Your creations will be kiln-fired and ready for pick up in about 10-14 days. Fees include instruction, glass, use of all tools and kiln firing as necessary… all you need to do is show up ready to create and have fun!
