02. A VERTICAL TASTING OF CLÍO (Thursday, February 5)

Twenty-five years ago, Bodegas El Nido was established as a partnership between the Gil Family Estates in Jumilla and celebrated Australian winemaker Chris Ringland. Their wine Clío was created in 2002 and soon became one of the most acclaimed new wines of Jumilla. Made with a skillful blend dominated by Monastrell with some Cabernet Sauvignon and sometimes Syrah, Clío is a perennial crowd pleaser vintage after vintage and a frequent winner of blind tastings. In this seminar we will have the opportunity to enjoy a vertical tasting of 12 vintages of Clío, from its original one to the most recent, so participants can assess the evolution of this wine and decide for themselves when Clío wines are at their very best.
