We’re excited to kick off planning for another great basketball season at WSNO—and we’re especially excited to welcome our new coaches, Coach Kenneth and Coach Isaac! The coaches recently visited campus and met with our students, and they are looking forward to building a basketball experience centered on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and, most importantly, a love of play. Whether your child is a seasoned player or picking up a basketball for the first time, we want them to have an opportunity to play! The coaches are committed to making the program welcoming and accessible, even for students with busy schedules. If your child is interested but you have questions about scheduling, please reach out—we'd love to hear from you. 🏀 Calling All Players—Including 4th Grade! Mighty Oaks athletics are traditionally for middle school students, but this year, Coach Kenneth and Coach Isaac are opening practice opportunities to interested 4th graders who would like to develop their skills and get ready for future seasons. Most practices will be held at the Corpus Christi Community Center, 2022 St. Bernard Ave. We’ll share the practice schedule, times, and additional details once we know participation numbers and finalize the gym schedule. We’re also looking into carpooling options to help families get to and from practices. Parents are always welcome to stay and cheer on our Mighty Oaks!
