Cultivating Climate Hope students will learn how human behavior has changed climates over time, including how to tackle the anxiety that comes with a changing climate. But it's not all doom and gloom! You'll learn how to be a savvy advocate for the environment and make a real difference in your community by studying communications and literature, writing your own eco-tales, and discovering ways to build meaningful relationships with the plants and animals around you. We’ll explore some of the most promising solutions to climate change and show you how artists, scientists, and activists are already leading the charge for climate hope. By the end of the program, you'll be a master communicator, equipped with all the skills you need to spread the word about climate change and create a brighter, greener future. This program will include moderate outdoor activity, including exploring the Connecticut College Arboretum, Sprout Garden, and more.
