About this event
Seborrheic keratosis (SK) is one of the most common benign skin lesions encountered in clinical practice, yet it can sometimes be mistaken for more serious dermatologic conditions. This self-paced e-learning module provides healthcare professionals with a practical introduction to the recognition, assessment, and management of seborrheic keratosis. Learners will explore the hallmark features and common variants of SK, develop skills to distinguish benign lesions from suspicious or malignant skin findings, and review appropriate diagnostic and management approaches. The course also examines treatment options, including when reassurance is sufficient and when intervention may be appropriate. Designed for nurses, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and other healthcare professionals, this module builds confidence in evaluating and managing seborrheic keratosis in a variety of clinical settings. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. To earn continuing education credit, participants must complete the entire module and achieve a score of 80% or higher on the post-quiz. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded 0.5 ANCC contact hours.
