About this event
Seborrheic dermatitis is a common chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects patients across the lifespan and is frequently encountered in primary and specialty care settings. This self-paced e-learning module provides healthcare professionals with a practical introduction to the recognition, diagnosis, and management of seborrheic dermatitis. Learners will explore its characteristic clinical presentation, underlying causes and triggers, associated conditions, and key differential diagnoses. The course reviews evidence-based treatment options, including first-line therapies and emerging approaches, while highlighting situations that may warrant further evaluation or specialist referral. Designed for nurses, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and other healthcare professionals, this module builds the knowledge and confidence needed to effectively assess and manage patients with seborrheic dermatitis. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. To earn continuing education credit, participants must complete the entire module and achieve a score of 80% or higher on the post-quiz. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded 0.5 ANCC contact hours.
