About this event
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects not only the skin but also multiple body systems, making early recognition and comprehensive management essential for healthcare professionals. This self-paced e-learning module provides a practical introduction to the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and classification of psoriasis. Learners will explore the major types of psoriasis, recognize their distinguishing features, and gain an understanding of the condition’s systemic nature and associated comorbidities. Through evidence-based content and real-world clinical insights, participants will develop the knowledge needed to identify psoriasis and support appropriate patient care. Designed for nurses, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and other healthcare professionals, this module builds a strong foundation for understanding and managing this common dermatologic condition. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. To earn continuing education credit, participants must complete the entire module and achieve a score of 80% or higher on the post-quiz. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded 0.5 ANCC contact hours.
