About this event
This course is the second of two in the Preventive Health Network training series. It builds on the foundational communication skills introduced in Foundations of Health Behavior Change Communication and focuses on what happens after the conversation about health-related behavior change has begun—how to clarify values, set realistic goals, and move forward even when confidence is low. This course was made possible through the work of the Coalition for Better Health, whose efforts to strengthen preventive health communication laid the foundation for the Preventive Health Network training series. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. To receive credit, participants must complete the entire training and all required components. Successful completion will result in the awarding of 4.5 ANCC contact hours.
