Effective communication is a cornerstone of nursing leadership and a key driver of trust, influence, and successful change. This e-learning module, Building Influence, Trust, and Change: Strategic Communication for Nurse Leaders, equips nurse leaders at all levels with the strategies and competencies needed to engage effectively with patients, staff, interdisciplinary teams, and administrators. Learners will explore core principles of leadership communication, identify essential competencies across different leadership roles, and examine common barriers that can undermine clarity and collaboration. The course also provides practical tools for applying communication strategies that strengthen leadership effectiveness and support change initiatives. Designed for nurse leaders in diverse settings, this module builds confidence in leading with clarity, credibility, and impact. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. To earn continuing education credit, participants must complete both the Nurse Leader pre-assessment and post-assessment. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded 1.25 ANCC contact hours.
