About this event
Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition commonly seen across all care settings and a frequent cause of pruritus and impaired quality of life. This self-paced e-learning module provides healthcare professionals with a practical introduction to the recognition, diagnosis, and management of atopic dermatitis. Learners will explore its key clinical features, diagnostic criteria, and how to differentiate it from other similar dermatologic conditions. The course also reviews evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to disease severity, including approaches for managing acute flares and preventing recurrence. Designed for nurses, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and other healthcare professionals, this module strengthens clinical confidence in delivering effective, patient-centered dermatologic care. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. To earn continuing education credit, participants must complete the entire module and achieve a score of 80% or higher on the post-quiz. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded 0.5 ANCC contact hours.
