Healthcare is evolving rapidly due to technological advances, shifting patient needs, and increasing system complexity, requiring nurse leaders to move beyond traditional management approaches. This e-learning module, Architects of Change: Transformational Leadership and Innovation in Nursing, prepares nurse leaders to become catalysts for transformation by redesigning care models, fostering cultures of inquiry, and leading meaningful, sustained change. Learners will explore the difference between transactional and transformational leadership while developing practical strategies to drive innovation at the bedside, unit, and organizational levels. The course emphasizes psychological safety, creative problem-solving, and systems thinking to support continuous improvement in nursing practice and patient outcomes. Designed for nurse leaders across all career stages, this module builds the skills needed to translate vision into actionable, measurable impact. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. To earn continuing education credit, participants must complete both the Nurse Leader pre-assessment and post-assessment. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded 0.75 ANCC contact hours.
