About this event
Your iPad is the gateway to the world when you open the Safari app. Safari, Apple’s browser, is superb because it provides a variety of cool features. The iPad app has some differences from the iPhone version. Learn what the icons on the top menu do, explore all of the choices on Safari’s opening page, review efficient search strategies, look at the hidden possibilities within the share feature, learn the advantages of Reader View, and more. After completing the five lessons you will be a confident user of Safari on your iPad. BoomerTECH Adventures instructors Ed Brazee, Jill Spencer, and Chris Toy, experienced Maine educators, help Boomers and Seniors create, connect, and contribute using today’s technology. This is an asynchronous and online course that students complete on their own time and at their own speed. Each course is a PDF booklet with information about the class, instructions for using the class, and the content of the class (videos and articles). The instructors provide personalized support via email and/or online chat. Plan to complete this course over approximately 6+/- hours depending upon how much time you want to commit each week. Once you gain access to the class content, bookmark and keep the link safe, and refer to it for as long as you need. Access to a strong Internet connection, and a Mac computer, iPad, or iPhone is required to access the videos and articles. See our website for a more complete course description.
