OPEN WATER TRIAL
Date : 15 Oct 2023
Time : 0800 - 0930h
Venue : East Coast Park, CP F2, Beachside
The OWS is mandatory for all participants who are new to Open Water swimming. This is to ensure that all participants are confident and competent in the open water swim component during the race. Attendees of the Open Water Trial will be expected to swim 80% distance of your selected Swim Category under the stipulated time limit (refer to image).
Standard and Long Distance: To swim 1200m within 40 minutes
Sprint Distance: To swim 600m within 20 minutes
Freshmen Distance: To swim 200m within 10 minutes
Kids Distance: To swim 100m
For those who have prior race experience in OWS, you may choose to add this on for a practise or refresher session.
