This course is for Credit Recovery of a D or an F (Remediation), not for advancement or NCAA potential athletes. UC/CSU a-g + WASC Approved. The courses are available 24-7 in an asynchronous format. Each term represents a single semester of 5 credits. Both terms must be taken for a full year of 10 credits. Course B is only the second half of the English 12 course. This Imagine Edgenuity course has not yet been reviewed or approved by the NCAA as meeting its definition of “core courses”. It is an abridged version of the semester-long course where lessons can be bypassed via pre-testing and showing knowledge in the chapter materials. In this course, students journey through British literature as they analyze foundational fiction and literary nonfiction works. As students read, they use textual evidence to support their analyses and analyze the impact of the author’s choices. Students make written and oral arguments to support claims, and they build upon previous writing skills to develop a formal and mature writing style. Students also further develop their listening skills, integrating what they hear and what they read to form and communicate clear perspectives on a variety of issues. (Saint Francis students who are remediating 11th grade British Literature should take English 12)
