Instructor: Katelynn Pompa In Camp S.T.E.M, students will embark on an exciting journey of problem-solving and innovation as they prepare for a camping adventure! Using their engineering skills, campers will assemble a small tent and design a solution to keep it elevated in case of a flood. They will brainstorm ways to keep wild animal neighbors at bay and even construct a “berry picking” tool to collect the delicious berries that grow nearby. As the week progresses, campers will construct a solar oven to cook smores and even design and construct a mini raft to transport our belongings back home from our camping trip. Through hands-on projects and creative thinking, campers will develop valuable skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving while having a blast at Camp S.T.E.M.
