Description
Cold winter weather is no reason to stay indoors! Spend time in the woods celebrating the longest night of the year. Join a naturalist to learn the science of the season and take part in winter solstice traditions. As we enjoy our journey through the woods, we will look and listen for animals who are braving the cold winter night alongside us. After the hike, warm up fireside with a roasted marshmallow while we reflect on the year. Please register your entire group, including adults and children. Meet at Shagbark Grove Shelter. This program will be held entirely outside, in the dark, after sunset. Please dress for the weather. The hike may be up to 2 miles long on uneven natural surface trails.
