Urban Gardeners Week introduces campers to gardening, sustainability, and environmental awareness through hands-on learning and real-world experiences. Campers will explore how plants grow, where food comes from, and how gardens support healthy communities. This week will include a field trip experience, with the location to be announced. We anticipate visiting Hope Farms, and final field trip details will be shared prior to March. Campers will also learn directly from a visiting gardener, gaining insight into gardening practices and plant care. Throughout the week, campers will participate in their own gardening projects, plant-based science activities, and creative experiences centered around nature, growth, and responsibility. Urban Gardeners encourages curiosity, care for the environment, and an appreciation for how everyday actions contribute to a healthier world.
