Uke Americana Ukulele Jams
Kenwood Park 2101 Franklin Ave W Minneapolis, MN 55405 Organized by Minneapolis Park and Recreation BoardAbout this event
Description
We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Uke Americana Music is from the traditions that make up the American musical ethos; specifically those sounds that are merged from folk, country and blues. Think Hootenanies and Campfires! These are jams, not lessons or workshops. However, come to the jam and we'll show you simple uke chords to get you playing along right away. This jam is geared for beginners to advanced uke players, with an emphasis on keeping things simple so all can participate from the beginning. Lead by Tony Anthonisen and sponsored by Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association.
Bring your own uke. Upon registration for this program, participants agree to maintain social distance (6 feet) at all times and adhere to the current Minnesota state face covering mandate. Failure to comply will result in removal from the program.
