Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music. Loring Park is hosting Matt Jennings Electric Trio. Matt describes his music as an international fusion with many cultural influences and many styles of music. When asked to describe his music in a few words Matt writes, "flamenco surf rock". Matt also incorporates reggae, mariachi, samba, bachata, tango, jazz, and metal among many other styles into his music.
