Immerse yourself in a diverse percussion experience this summer at WCM! Build on your snare drum, drum set, and mallet instrument techniques, and discover a new palette of captivating sounds. Core classes include drum set and rhythm theory, mallets and melodic theory, and small group percussion ensembles coached by WCM teaching artists. During afternoon rotations, students will explore West African, Afro-Caribbean, Indian-Carnatic, and Brazilian samba percussion styles. The camp will conclude with a Friday afternoon showcase for family and friends.
This camp is for students entering grades 6-12 in Fall 2026. Graduating seniors are welcome and encouraged to register!
Students are required to have 1 year of band or percussion lesson experience. Basic note reading skills required.
Students will need to bring:

• drumsticks, mallets and/or
• a practice pad
• pencil
• water bottle
• lunch/snacks
