We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Monday, June 5, 2023.
Rehearse and perform a repertoire of Afro-Cuban, Afro-Caribbean, and Latin Jazz classics. Musical selections from artists such as Tito Puente, Cal Tjader, and Mongo Santamaria. Straight ahead Jazz Standards will also be included and adapted for a Latin Jazz setting. Become well-versed in the language of clave, cascara, montuno, and salsa!
INST: Rhythm Section – drums, congas, timbales, bongo, piano/keyboard, guitar, bass. Winds – all woodwinds and all brass. Prerequisite: 2 years experience. All ages welcome.
