Incoming seventh and eighth-grade students will spend their mornings in a classroom developing academic and life skills to help them succeed in Middle School and prepare them for high school. Campers will refine and enrich their English language arts skills through vocabulary and grammar practice, analyze literary components with short stories, and practice essay writing. Time devoted to mathematics will include practicing pre-algebra and algebra concepts through a diverse mix of word problems and written expressions. The program also includes time for the campers to learn about organization, study skills, digital citizenship, and understanding the importance of social-emotional wellness in preparation for high school.
