Dates held: Saturday, Aug. 21 Sunday, Aug. 22 Saturday, Aug. 28
This is a class for those who have passed the beginner class or have played at least 30 games, know the rules, can get at least 80% of your serves in, and return at least 80% of serves you receive. You should understand scoring and basic court position, or have instructor permission before you sign up. The focus will be on your backhand, serve and return placement, improving your dink shot, the drive shot and your consistency in these areas. This class moves fast so it is important that all players are near the same level. There will be lots of drills to help you reach the Advanced Beginner Level as soon as possible. Time will be allotted to playing supervised games so you can put your new skills into practice. After completion of this class, you will enjoy playing in open/rotational play with players at your level. Eyeglasses are recommended (regular, sunglasses, empty frames, safety glasses) and court (tennis) shoes necessary. Walkers, runners, cross trainer shoes are not safe for this sport at this level and above.
Taught by a Certified Pickleball Instructor through the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association. You may reach the instructor, Linda Scott, at 804-683-8481 or firstname.lastname@example.org
