Pickleball - Beginner 101
Please note scheduled time and dates: 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, May 9,16,23,and rain date May 30 if needed
This class is designed for those who are new to pickleball. The students will be divided into two groups based on their experience and ability level. The goal is to teach the basics so participants can enjoy the game at their level of play and to help them progress to the next level. We will cover scoring, court position, the legal serve, the non-volley zone, and the two bounce rule. There will be lots of supervised play so participants will be ready to join groups at their level of play once they complete the class. Sometimes the class is repeated, other times depending on your comfort level, you will be ready to progress to the next step with the instructor's permission. It is suggested that you do not purchase a paddle before class. Paddles and balls will be provided. You will have the opportunity to try different paddles to see what you may like before you purchase. If you have your own paddle, please bring. Glasses are highly recommended (regular, sunglasses, empty frames or safety glasses). Tennis shoes or court shoes are best to prevent injury. Last, you need to be in reasonable physical shape before beginning to play pickleball. The most important attribute is having good balance.
REFUND INFORMATION: Refund requests must be made in writing at least 3 business days prior to the start of the course. Refunds are processed automatically if a course is cancelled. If the change in day, time or location of a course prohibits you from attending, we will be happy to refund your fee. Non-recoverable costs are not refundable.
