Exercise plays a vital role in managing Parkinson’s related symptoms, improving quality of life, and potentially slowing disease progression. This class is led by a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who specializes in working with people with Parkison's Disease. Due to the prerequisites, A phone interview is required before the first session for all new participants. You will be contacted about 4-8 days prior to the first class.Prerequisites for advanced level:This course involves higher intensity exercises and is designed for individuals with strong mobility; floor/yoga mat exercises will be performed in addition to standing and seated exercises. Participants must be able to ambulate to/from the classroom without instructor assistance.Participants must be able to get to/from the floor without instructor assistance.
