This blended learning Instructor Recertification Course is the required course for all Lifeguarding Instructors to re-certify. During this course Lifeguarding Instructors and Instructor Trainers will participate in an in-water practice and polish skills session and practice teaching in addition to a classroom-based review of Red Cross administrative policies and procedures. The online link will be emailed to participants 7-9 days prior to the first in-person class. Lifeguarding Instructors may also choose to attend a brief "test out" session following this course to gain a basic-level Lifeguarding certification. If you would like the option to test out of your basic-level skills, please call the CE & Rec office to register for the "LGI-add-on LG certification".
