Exercise plays a vital role in managing Parkinson’s related symptoms, improving quality of life, and potentially slowing disease progression. This exercise program is for people living with Parkinson's Disease. It is designed for individuals with higher function. Each session is facilitated by a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist from Aurora Health Care. Due to the prerequisites for taking this class, A phone interview is required before the first session for all new participants. You will be contacted about 7-10 days prior to the first class.Prerequisites:This course is designed for individuals who can tolerate higher intensity activities. Participants must be able to ambulate to/from the classroom without assistance.Participants must be able to get to/from the floor mat independently; a chair is available if needed.
