After School Program System PUT DOWN THE SCREEN. PICK UP THE PENCIL. Discover How Our Learning System Works! Students typically receive their puzzle booklets during Week Two of each session. At the beginning of each school year, we recommend that every student start with the Phase 1 Booklet, regardless of chess experience. Students may advance to Phase 2 by testing out of Phase 1 or earning a score of 90% or higher. This process applies each year your child participates in our program. Our I’Mpossible Puzzle Booklet Series includes five phases across three sections: LOVE IT — Phases 1–2: Builds a strong foundation through fun, challenging lessons designed to help every student experience success. LEARN IT — Phases 3–4: Will introduce more advanced strategies and tactics, with an emphasis on understanding the concepts well enough to teach others. LIVE IT — Phase 5: Teaches students to apply chess strategies to everyday choices and critical decision-making—because our goal is to develop Life Masters, not simply chess masters. Students progress at their own pace. Some complete a phase within 5–8 weeks, others within 10–20 weeks, while some may need additional time. Every scholar is free to go at their on pace.
