About this event
The Construction Core Program is a training program using a pre-apprenticeship track for students to explore multiple pathways in the industry. These pre-apprenticeship classes utilize the NCCER Core curriculum, which focuses on foundational construction skills. This includes basic safety with OSHA 10, plus introductions to using construction math, reading construction drawings, and using hand and power tools. This program uses NCCER Core modules to lead students into hands-on building experiences wherein they practice their skills and complete performance-based requirements to earn NCCER’s industry-recognized credentials. During this course, students are given classroom & hands-on learning, the ability to visit real construction sites, speak and hear from industry professionals. This course is free but requires registration and CASAS testing. This course is grant funded through the generous supports of NCCER, COABE and the Lowe's Foundation.
