The Virginia Rivers and Streams project week will lead students on environmental science exploration of our local waters. Students will spend two days in the lab, analyzing water for bacterial pollution and dissolved pollutants. Students will then join educators from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for two days of canoeing in the Potomac River watershed. These days we will focus on how land use affects water quality and on the makeup of our area's biologically diverse tidal waters. Our final day will include time to reflect on the experience and share our results. Teachers: Dr. Fisher & Dr. Bellamy
