About this event
In the age of A.I. and ChatGPT, it is more important than ever for students to develop writing skills that enable them to effectively communicate their ideas and perspectives. Members will have the opportunity to gather with peers to explore, discuss, read, and produce different writing genres. Members will participate in writing activities and exercises that are tailored to their writing goals, whether that is to improve their academic writing skills or to explore more creative forms of writing. On a voluntary basis, members may also share their work with others for constructive feedback. If interested, members will have opportunities to enter their work into various writing competitions, which may include the Scholastic Writing Awards, the New York Times writing contests, and the Bennington Young Writers Awards.
