Campers discover the basics of programming using Scratch while thinking creatively and solving problems. They’ll use colorful drag-and-drop code blocks to program characters (sprites) to move, speak, play music, and interact with one another. Along the way, campers learn core computer science concepts like sequences, loops, conditions, variables, and functions as they create animated stories, artwork, a virtual pet, and games such as Hide and Seek and Pong. Campers will bring their projects home on a flash drive to share with family and friends and continue improving them at home. This camp is perfect for campers who love to create and want to explore the world of coding.
