The Parents in Action Committee (PAC) for Weekday Ministry at Marietta First United Methodist Church (FUMC) is pleased to announce our first ever Running for Weekday 5k and Tot Trot fundraiser. FUMC Weekday Ministry has been an essential part of the historic Marietta landscape for over six decades and has provided an educational foundation for countless children in our community. Weekday is where children first develop a love for learning and understanding of God's love for them. This school is also a certified Program of Excellence through the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Running for Weekday 5k and Tot Trot is the school's main fundraising event and secures funds necessary to provide student scholarships and crucial program enhancements. In past years, these funds have made it possible to purchase items ranging from a SMART board for the kindergarten class to much needed classroom furniture for the entire school. We hope this year's funds may help in paying for projects that may include a kitchen renovation so we may have a functioning space for cooking projects/science projects, curriculum enhancements, and potentially an awning for the carpool line to keep our teachers and students dry on rainy days. The most important use of these funds, however, is to provide a scholarship program for children who could not otherwise afford a comprehensive preschool program. Thank you for making a difference. We appreciate your help in making our second event one to remember and in turn, helping provide an even brighter future for the children of Marietta FUMC Weekday Ministry.
