Join us to learn chess from the best coaches in town! Our partner, ICN, was founded with the vision of establishing a network of high-performing chess programs, where each school embodies their own unique chess culture while still maintaining a network-wide commitment to excellence. Across the Impact Coaching Network, a “team first” training approach will be emphasized, and our coaches/leaders will collaborate with each partner program to strengthen and build their school community through a visibly vibrant and successful chess program. In 2022 ICN was awarded The Scholastic Service award by the United States Chess Federation. We are very proud to have offered uninterrupted clubs, camps, and tournaments throughout a difficult time, and we look forward to resuming our clubs & teams in person this school year. In the case of disruptions to physical programming, we will continue uninterrupted programming through our virtual platform. From complete beginners to advancing tournament players, our goal is that all BASIS independent Manhattan players can experience both the joy & significant social/educational benefits of learning and playing chess.
