About this event
Experience the art of making maple syrup. Participants will learn about the history of maple sugaring in North America, the science behind the production, and experience first-hand the actual process of making maple syrup. Throughout the day, students will learn how to identify and select the correct tree, how to “tap” a sugar maple, how to collect and store sap, and how to convert sap into syrup. This is a "hands-on" experience. Please dress for the weather and be prepared to be outside for this program. All ages are welcome but anyone under age 18 must be directly accompanied by an adult.
