The UW Health Learning Kitchen at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI has cooking classes for all skill levels!
Cooking demonstration detail:
Eating healthy on a budget doesn't have to be boring! Join us to learn practical strategies for grocery shopping, meal planning, and leftovers that make affordable meals flavorful, satisfying, and realistic for everyday life.
This class is demonstration-based rather than hands-on. You'll watch a live cooking demonstration and enjoy taste testing of two budget-friendly recipes:

• Prep-Ahead Shakshuka Egg Bites: Inspired by bold Mediterranean flavors, these protein-packed egg bites combine eggs, tomatoes, peppers, and warm spices for a savory breakfast or quick meal you can prep ahead for the week. They're simple, nourishing, and perfect for busy mornings!
• Peruvian-Inspired Sheet Pan Dinner (choose chicken or vegetarian option in registration): A vibrant one-pan dinner featuring roasted potatoes, cabbage, and a smoky cumin-paprika spice blend served with a bright, creamy green sauce. We'll demonstrate both a chicken and vegetarian version so you can easily adapt this meal to your preferences.

Participants will leave with easy, affordable recipes, a sample grocery list, and tools to make healthy cooking more accessible and sustainable.
Each participant must be enrolled for the class ($6 is the cost for one participant). If you are registering multiple people, please include the names and ages of all attendees in your group.
