The UW Health Learning Kitchen at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI has cooking classes for all skill levels!Cooking class detail:
Looking for delicious low-sodium meal options that don't sacrifice flavor? Join us for this hands-on cooking class to learn how to decrease sodium for heart health, while retaining big, bold flavors!
What We'll Be Cooking:
- Tangy Citrus-Marinated Chicken OR Tofu (choose one in registration): Marinades are a great way to add flavor and can double as an effortless sauce! Learn how to enhance your meals by using bright marinades and roasting proteins for added flavor and texture.
- Smoky Roasted Sweet Potatoes with a Lemon-Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette: Adding smoky spices packs in tons of flavor, as does a zesty dressing. This versatile side will give a cookout vibe perfect for any time of the year.
- Bright and Zesty Black Bean and Corn Salad: We'll use lots of bright citrus, herbs, and warm spices in this customizable salad. This recipe is perfect for quick and easy meal prep, too!
