About this event

Description

Image of assorted papers and textures used for printmaking
Collagraphs are a fun way to explore texture through printmaking. Participants will learn about different methods of making textured plates with materials that are recycled (cardboard, matboard, Tetra Pak) in order to make their plates in the first session. In the second session, we will focus on printing the collagraph plates using intaglio inking, relief inking or combination of both and sending them through the printing press. We'll also examine how to hand color collagraph prints by viewing some artist examples. No prior printmaking experience is necessary.
UW Students and Union Members pay $10 less than listed fee. Check box and use ID/Member Number for discount on Fees Page.
